ARTIST STATEMENT
My work does not aim to produce autonomous objects but to construct situations in which cultural forms can be experienced differently.
I am interested in what happens when symbols, monuments, myths, or familiar cultural references detach from the contexts that originally produced them. Rather than presenting images as fixed representations, I create environments where these elements are displaced, repeated, translated, or transformed, allowing their meanings to shift.
Across installations and video works, these situations unfold through spatial arrangements, light, movement, and duration. Monuments may appear only as shadows, gestures may become ritualized actions, and historical references may return as fragments within new configurations. In these environments the viewer does not simply observe an artwork but becomes part of a field of relations in which meaning is produced.
What interests me is the moment when cultural forms lose the stability of their original frameworks and begin to circulate within new systems of perception. Through displacement, repetition, and transformation, these forms reveal how cultural memory continues to operate in the present, often in unexpected ways.
By creating situations of encounter rather than objects, my work explores how historical symbols, collective imaginaries, and cultural narratives persist, mutate, and acquire new meanings as they move across time, media, and contexts.
